Theater star sibs Sutton and Hunter Foster will announce nominees for the 2009-2010 Outer Critics Circle Awards on April 26 at the Algonquin Hotel. The awards include 23 categories representing both Broadway and off-Broadway are voted on by writers who cover New York theater for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway.
Five-time Tony nominee Sutton Foster is a Tony and Outer Critics Circle Award winner for Thoroughly Modern Millie and an Outer Critics Circle winner for Shrek. She will play Fay Apple in the Encores! production of Anyone Can Whistle, debuting April 8 at New York City Center.
Hunter Foster earned an Outer Critics Circle nomination for Urinetown and a Tony nomination for Little Shop of Horrors. He is currently featured in the Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet.
Winners of the Outer Critics Circle Awards will be announced on May 17, with an awards ceremony to be held on May 27 at Sardi’s.
